The world is changing, your property adapts.

A sustainable property means a more conscious use of resources, added value for the location, and responsible action right from the development process.

The DGNB certification system for sustainable neighborhoods focuses on circular economy, climate protection, and human health. The DGNB awards a certificate for sustainable construction. The rating is divided into gold, silver, bronze, and platinum.

Am Winterfeldt – Sustainably designed, built for the future

With the project Am Winterfeldt Diamona & Harnisch is setting another example for responsible and sustainable construction. As with the project Marshall One the planning and construction of Am Winterfeldt is based on the DGNB Gold Standard – one of Germany's most prestigious sustainability certifications.

The sustainability concept of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is based on a holistic three-pillar model that takes equal account of economic, ecological, and social aspects. The aim is to create buildings that are not only architecturally impressive, but also retain their value in the long term, conserve resources, and are livable.

Sustainability with responsibility and vision

Sustainable action can always be said to exist when ecological, economic, and social aspects are brought into harmony.

Sustainable construction means much more than just using environmentally friendly, healthy, and recyclable materials. It also includes reducing energy consumption, minimizing transport distances, and avoiding unnecessary emissions—among other things, by consciously choosing regional building materials and resource-saving processes.

In order to make this holistic approach measurable, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has developed the DGNB Gold Standard. As part of the certification process, each construction project is monitored by independent auditors – from planning and material selection to execution and completion. Once construction is complete, official certification is granted, documenting the project's high quality and sustainability standards.
