The DGNB certification system for sustainable neighborhoods focuses on the circular economy, climate protection and human health. The DGNB awards a certificate for sustainable building. The rating is awarded in gold, silver, bronze and platinum.

Diamona & Harnisch is delighted to have adapted the planning and construction of the new "Am Winterfeldt" project to the DGNB Gold Standard.
The DGNB sustainability concept is based on a three-pillar model consisting of economy, ecology and social aspects:
- - Economy means that we consider buildings in an economically sensible way and over their entire life cycle;
- - Ecology stands for the resource- and environmentally friendly construction of buildings;
- - Social focuses on the user and the neighbourhood of the building.
We can therefore speak of sustainable action when these three dimensions are harmonised.
Sustainable construction not only means using environmentally friendly, healthy and recyclable building materials, but also reducing energy requirements and avoiding high transport costs and emissions by consciously opting for regional building materials.
To document this claim, the German Sustainable Building Council has developed the DGNB Gold Standard. In the certification process, the construction project is monitored by auditors from the planning stage through to the selection of materials and execution, and certified after construction and completion.

The project is located on a spacious plot surrounded by architectural landmarks. The total plot size of the D&H project “Am Winterfeldt” is 6,017 square meters. There are a total of 7 buildings with 227 exclusive residential units and 8 commercial units, whose floor plans offer a contemporary interpretation of individual needs for modern living. A total of 17,468 square meters of residential space and 349.05 square meters of commercial space are created on 7 floors.
